Chronyko
Zen gave this start-up business one less thing to worry about.
Giving small businesses peace of mind
The team at chronyko create and deliver immersive learning experiences that are designed to teach and exercise skills for success in the modern workforce using their own in-house technology. The events are designed to tackle real-world business challenges through the use of storytelling, technology and puzzles and cover areas such as leadership, team working and specialist technical disciplines.
As they learn about the concept of immersive learning and the range of activities and programmes that are available, from Ruben’s Quest through to the collaborative strategy game SCOOT3, businesses have been quick to buy into the chronyko approach. The concept is particularly popular amongst businesses looking to engage the younger generation who often consider traditional style learning and development old school.
Chronyko's challenge
Getting a start-up business off the ground is no small feat. There is so much to consider and organise and plenty of challenges to overcome. chronyko had to move fast at their new premises as the incumbent internet supplier was being cancelled and they wanted to ensure as little disruption as possible with the changeover.
For Martyn Ruks, Director at chronyko they needed to find “a trusted brand who would be responsive to our initial approaches and transparent about pricing.”
Timescales were tight so the speed of setup was also critical.
The solution
For Martyn and the team the pre-sales experience was key. When they started to explore the market the varying levels of customer support available became a real concern.
Martyn explained, “When we started looking at the market it was clear to us that many providers fell down on their reputation for good customer service. We found many were not very responsive at the pre-sales stage.”
Already aware of Zen as a reliable residential provider, Martyn decided to look into this option for his small business connectivity requirements. He found that “the interaction from a pre-sales perspective made it an easy decision for us.”
Getting everything in place quickly was key for chronyko so the team was particularly pleased when everything went live a couple of weeks before the estimated delivery date. They were particularly impressed with the communication between Zen and third party supplier Openreach in making this happen.
The difference
Despite a few early configuration challenges during the install process which arose from expediting the project through, Martyn felt that the changeover was managed really well. Once the Zen support team established that Martyn had a technical background, he was delighted to be able to have technical discussions and was particularly pleased they didn’t work off scripts.
It gives Martyn peace of mind that there is no question mark as to whether or not the internet is going to work so the team can get on with supporting the business rather than worrying about the internet working.
Martyn explains that it is only when you end up using an unreliable connection that you value the stability and reliability of the Zen connection. “Whilst everyone has connectivity at home, not everyone’s connection is created equally. The stability and reliability the Zen connection provides in the office means the team can work collaboratively together. Having good bandwidth to work on the large files we need and to interact on the cloud services supports our creativity.”
